Kenya Special Economic Zones
Kenya is implementing its development strategy centred on Vision 2030, to improve the country’s business environment.
The establishment of new Economic Zones is one part of this ambition, and aims to increase levels of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) and leverage domestic investment to support the end goals.
The World Bank Group sponsored project, bought together Buro Happold and Gareth John Consulting LLP to develop an investment strategy aimed at winning sustainable domestic and Foreign Direct Investment into the SEZs to support the diversified growth of the Kenya Economy.
The deliverable is an investment promotion strategy and outline marketing and communications plan that outlines specific sector-based investment propositions and provides guidance on how to position SEZs within an international context, through the development of:
• SEZ Programme Vision and Site Visions
• Sector Propositions
• Marketing and Communication strategy (including Branding)
• Investment Promotion and Lead Generation
